Imanet has always been a pioneer of XML & Electronic Data Interface (EDI) technology in the International Trade Community. From receiving shipment information from clients to connecting to global SAP systems Imanet has been there. Here are some of the EDI & XML solutions Imanet commonly implements for its clients.

Fedex XML Interface: This allows brokers who use FedEx to automatically create shipments and lines from XML data that are uploaded to us by FedEx. More..

ACI XML Interface: Along with the ACI web interface, Imanet also has the automated ACI XML interface which processes ACI data uploaded by foreign agents and creates a Freight Forwarding file with substantial shipment data in addition to automating the process of getting timely ACI approval/status seamlessly from CANADA CUSTOMS.

Importer/Vendor sending shipment details to Customs Broker: This has historically been the most common example of an EDI solution. When a Customs Broker has a client with enough volume and technological capabilities to warrant it, setting up an electronic transfer of shipment details from the client’s computers to the broker’s is very mutually rewarding. The broker eliminates manual data entry and the client insures data integrity and timely release. This type of EDI interface in conjunction with our Quality Control Cases and standard B3 data validation checks is a winning combination and we have regularly been able to achieve results no manual intervention in over 96% of shipments processed in this way.

ACI information from Foreign Agents to Freight Forwarders: Many of our clients are looking to countries such as China to fuel their growth. As everyone knows, developing good relationships with your foreign agent partners is an excellent accelerant to that growth. Why not take the relationship a step further? Offer your foreign agent partners your ACI services. It can be a large revenue stream for you and also give you their shipment details electronically. Imanet can either fully automate the interface, allow the foreign agent to upload Excel files through your website, or allow the foreign agent to enter the ACI information manually on your website. In any of these cases, a new freight file can be automatically created in your system with all of the foreign agent’s data and an ACI message sent to customs.

Is your client not ready for full EDI? Here are some offerings which they may be ready for.

CCI Line Loader: Have your clients send you their mega multi-line shipments as Excel files and load the whole shipment into ITMR4 with the touch of a button.

Parts Loader: Have your clients send you their new parts in Excel and load them into ITMR4 with the touch of a button as well.

CCI on the Web: Have your clients create appraisal quality CCIs on the Web using your parts database and Quality Control Cases. This is an excellent replacement to the FIRST program. CCI on the Web will send a release request to ACROSS in the background and your clients can track their newly created shipment’s status over Shipments Web – where they can also upload images of all original documents pertaining to the shipment.
